The arsEdition children’s books contain puzzles, activities, coloring pages and games which are made up of various images, activities and texts. In inxire Digital Publishing, activity books on different topic areas and for different age groups can be generated from this data.
At the beginning of the project, all of the relevant data from the image and text files as well as the layout information were transferred into inxire Digital Publishing. The next step was a mass allocation of meta data and the indexing of images. Now, the books can be generated automatically with just one click.
In daily operations, the editors are supported in every step of the process by additional little “helpers”. These include, for example, the storage of the history and the variants of images and text, the possibility to correct question texts, the possibility to edit directly and the preview feature.
Thanks to the comprehensive functionality of inxire Digital Publishing, the software is integrated into the entire production process: From compiling content, generating a digital manuscript as a PDF document, and the complete correction stage, through to the final release. inxire Digital Publishing has been used successfully in the production of children’s activity books by arsEdition since 2008.
