The brains behind inxire

Toni Schnell
Managing Director

Toni Schnell founded inxire in June 2002 - at a time when the software sector was in crisis and terms like "enterprise content management" and "enterprise 2.0" were still unknown. Even while studying information technology at the technical college in Augsburg and the University of Missouri-Kansas City, he developed customer-oriented software solutions. He then worked as a consultant at Oracle Germany, where he was given the Award for Mobile Excellence in 2001.

Birgit Schüssler
Head of Quality Management & Projects

Birgit Schüssler has been a member of the inxire team since its foundation in 2002. She studied information technology at the Technical University in Darmstadt and she was then employed as a consultant for Unilog Integrata and Oracle Germany. At inxire, she is responsible for project and quality management. In this role, she coordinates the project teams, she is responsible for quality assurance and she supports customers in the introduction and operation of inxire products.

Max Horst
Head of Product Development

Max Horst studied Business Informatics at the technical college in Gießen-Friedberg and gained practical experience at the Dresdner Bank during this time. After graduating in 2006, he moved to inxire and, since then, he has been heavily involved in developing the company’s products. As the Head of Product Development, he is now responsible for ensuring the sustainability and high quality of inxire software in the long term, amongst other things.

Brigitte Kötting
Head of Marketing & Communications

Brigitte Kötting has been responsible for exciting marketing and communication projects for over 13 years. After finishing her studies, she was responsible for press relations for a research institute and then worked in public relations for an international online games provider. After several years in the computer games industry, she changed to the automotive industry and then from there to inxire, where she has been employed as the Head of Marketing & Communications since 2017.

Dave Long
Chief Architect

Dave Long is an industry veteran with over 37 years of experience in the software sector. Before becoming Chief Architect at inxire in 2014, he worked for various companies in Silicon Valley, including 19 years at Oracle. There, he developed a content management platform which was used in several Oracle products and for which he obtained eight U.S. patents. Oracle later turned this technology into open source software, named ECMSDK, and it is now a key pillar of the inxire Digital Platform.
